Videography by Ryan RobertsRyan Roberts is a much sought after videographer, editor, producer, audio engineer and director in a variety of venues for television and video.
Ryan first discovered his passion for working in the
industry as a middle school student when his Dad, a public school band
teacher, asked him to shoot his students band concerts. While manning the camera at a concert, he
was discovered by a local video production company who hired the sophomore in high school as a
camera man to shoot events ranging from dance recitals to drum line
competitions to fashion shows and beauty pageants. Ryan then furthered his study at the California
State University,
Chico receiving a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Communications with an emphasis in Media Arts.
After college, he went on to work as a camera operator, teleprompter operator, floor director, editor and master control operator for various local television stations including NBC, the WB, PBS and KICU. Ryan also spent some time as a freelance camera operator and director for video production companies Playback Memories and AVA Prodctions. Ryan is currently the Director of Operations at Stanford University for Stanford Video where he was been for more than 2 decades. In this role, Ryan oversees and crews the events that Stanford Video captures and is also in charge of television and radio feeds for networks such as Fox, CNN, NBC, NPR and BBC. In doing so, he has worked with notable politicians such as former Secretary of State George Shultz and Condoleezza Rice, Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, former football coach of the San Francisco 49ers and Stanford University, Bill Walsh, and former 49er players Steve Young and Jerry Rice to name a few.
In addition to his work at Stanford and his work as a videographer and editor, Ryan has also given back to his community volunteering his knowledge and experience as the visual media coordinator at various local churches. Through his busy schedule, he still makes time for what is most important in his life, his wife Michelle and daughter's Audry and Taylor.
